Therapy

Animal Assisted Therapy uses dogs or animals in therapy. AAT has been shown to aid relaxation, lower anxiety, and improve mood. 

    Child & Adolescent 
    Therapy

    Therapy for children and adolescents often focuses on educational and developmental support to assist with learning, behaviour, and social skills. It can also support common mental health presentations such as anxiety and depression.

    Online
    Therapy

    Online therapy is psychology support delivered via either video conferencing or telephone.

    Hi there, I'm Emma McLachlan.

    I am a registered psychologist with a Masters in Psychology, working in private practice in Monbulk.

     

    I love providing animal assisted therapy in my work counselling children, adolescents, and adults.

    I enjoy working with people from a variety of age groups providing animal assisted therapy.

    My approach with children and adolescents is fun, flexible, and engaging.

     

    I focus on supporting clients by reminding them of the strengths they already have, encouraging self compassion, and by looking at things through a different lens. 

     

    I like to connect using a shared experience.

    Getting Help

    I really look forward to hearing from you and how I might be of support and to arrange the finer details. 

     

    Sessions can be booked and paid for privately, under the Medicare Better Access Scheme (a referral and mental health care plan is required from your GP), or using National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding (self managed only).
